Associate, Oxeon Partners

Melanie has always had a passion to “make people healthier,” so she is excited to have found team of people with the same inspiration at Oxeon. Previously, she has spent time focusing on healthcare in the clinical sense, and she is ready to take a more macro level approach to improving the US healthcare system. She is particularly interested in the effects that social determinants of health have on access to high quality and affordable care. She is thrilled to work with some of the most innovative companies and leaders who are using new healthcare technologies to make impactful change in this space.

Prior to joining Oxeon, Melanie was a Clinical Research Assistant in the Nutrition & Growth Lab at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. At CHOP, she conducted patient visits within the GI department to assess nutritional status and bone health. She worked on over 30 different research protocols that targeted a wide variety of medical conditions ranging from obesity to childhood cancer.

Melanie graduated from the University of Pennsylvania where she majored in Health & Societies and minored in Nutrition. As a native Philadelphian, who was born, raised, and schooled in Philly, she is excited to finally branch out and explore New York (although she plans to sneak home every now and then to get a proper cheesesteak and visit her two dogs).
