Jacob loves working with a dynamic group of colleagues committed to building companies that improve individual and community health. As a Director in the Bay Area office, he works with a range of venture capital and private equity partners on Executive and Board of Directors searches, while also helping build the consulting and organizational design practice areas.
Before joining Oxeon, Jacob worked at the Edna McConnell Clark Foundation (EMCF) – a social venture investment firm – as part of the Foundation’s Portfolio team responsible for aggregating and deploying capital to high-performing nonprofits. Jacob caught the social venture bug during his prior experience as a program and business development manager at Public/Private Ventures, a policy and research organization committed to understanding what works (and what doesn’t!) to improve the lives of the most vulnerable young people. He has also worked as a senior consultant at the Beacon Group, a strategy consulting firm in Portland, ME; and an intern with the Detroit Lions. (Go Lions!)
When he’s not in the office, you’re likely to find Jacob on a running trail, squash court or traveling to be with friends and family. Jacob earned a bachelor’s degree in government and legal studies from Bowdoin College and his Master’s in Education Entrepreneurship in a joint School of Education/Wharton program at Penn.
