John joined Oxeon in July 2012, shortly after its founding, and has played a key role in the build-out of C-suite executive teams for companies using disruptive technology, innovative care delivery, and clinical risk-bearing models to enable healthcare’s transition to value-based care. He has led a wide variety of C-level searches for organizations such as Landmark Health, Oak Street Health, Clover Health, TrellisRx, and GoHealth Urgent Care, among many others.
John is also involved in evaluating and managing the firm’s investment portfolio and equity-oriented strategy, sourcing and evaluating multiple direct Oxeon investments. His first exposure to healthcare entrepreneurship and venture capital came during an internship with Healthbox/Sandbox Industries in Chicago, and he is determined to continue championing individuals and teams working to transform the care delivery system.
John grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Loyola University Chicago with a degree in Economics and minor in Biology. While in undergrad, John also served as a on-campus EMT and spent a year studying in Beijing and traveling across Asia. After nearly three years with the Oxeon team in New York City, John returned to Chicago, where he can be found bicycling on the Lakefront trail during the city’s three months of livable weather.
