Wrik joined Oxeon aiming to both broaden and deepen his understanding of healthcare as an industry. Drawn by the mission to “Make People Healthier,” Wrik hopes to gain insight into how leaders in the field today approach the complex issues in healthcare, particularly those affecting the most vulnerable populations around the nation. He aspires to one day have a systems-level impact in healthcare, perhaps starting with improving access to care for those needing it most.
After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania with a double major in Biological Basis of Behavior and Nutrition Science and a minor in Economics, Wrik got his first look into healthcare at Collective Health, a digital health startup in San Francisco. After the cross-country move, he has set his sights on exploring New York’s expansive food scene and, with any luck, finding a way to relive his college a cappella days in a setting outside of his shower at home.
