OLIVIA AKIN

Principal

Olivia joined Oxeon Partners in 2014 and over the past 8 years has partnered with high-growth healthcare companies to build out their leadership teams. Originally drawn to Oxeon by the idea of increasing access to healthcare for vulnerable populations, she continues to be excited about working with and learning from the companies shaping the future of our healthcare system. Her work has spanned across the C-Suite and Oxeon’s portfolio, placing executives at Aetion, athenahealth, CareMetx, Cityblock, Cotiviti, Eleanor Health, Everside Health, Evolent, GoHealth, Iora Health, Landmark Health, Intermountain, Mayo Clinic, Multiplan, ProgenyHealth, and Virta Health, among others. She’s supported and participated in Break into the Boardroom, an Oxeon led program devoted to bringing more diversity to Boards through training and building a network of qualified candidates.

In addition to her role in search, Olivia has worked (formally and informally) across the organization internally, assisting as needed in building the infrastructure to support Oxeon’s continued growth. These roles have included overseeing Oxeon’s marketing efforts, where she led the re-launch of Oxeon’s website; serving as a member of the BOO (Building Our Organization) team, focused on keeping culture and people a top priority; and working to support collaboration across the Oxeon offices and teams.

Originally from Connecticut, Olivia graduated from Loyola University Maryland with a focus in Global Studies and worked in the education sector while living in Thailand. During her time abroad, she camped out in the Gobi desert, trekked in the Himalayas, snorkeled in the Philippines, studied in Beijing, and taught 6th grade math in Bangkok. Though not nearly as far reaching, her adventures have continued in New York City and tend to center around Brooklyn, which Olivia happily calls home.
